16. Damn Hot - Ok Go
17. Kissing The Lipless - The Shins
18. Clark Gable - The Postal Service
19. Cecilia - Simon & Garfunkel

These 19 songs cannot be all inclusive of my favorites of all time, but they are the ones that are played most on my iTunes. Also, they are songs that have a meaning in my life. For example, when singing “Cecilia” I change the lyrics to “Making bread in the afternoon” because it symbolizes my love of making bread and reminds me of my bread and Simon & Garfunkel days in Hawaii. Also, the song “The Guide” is my new most favorite. I already have an imaginary video of myself walking along a path in Central Park lip-syncing to the dreamy lyrics of this new favorite song! My passion for world music is represented by the song from Zebda (it’s French and I don’t know what they say most of the time but I love the beats). I could have picked any Morcheeba song to place on the list, but this one has the coolest video from their original LP.
I was encouraged to put together this list by the great movie I saw last night. The teenagers in the movie went all around NYC trying to find their favorite band playing at a secret spot and the soundtrack for the movie is full of future indie cult classic songs. Of course I already bought the soundtrack from iTunes. I am tagging Liz to post her infinite playlist here too…
