Vegetables on Main Street

Every Tuesday night we venture onto Main Street to purchase a weeks worth of vegetables. Our shopping experience is enhanced by the entertaining performers who stage shows on every corner. All summer we have enjoyed the organic and cheap vegetables as well as the man who paints himself silver and tries to get money while remaining mute. Tonight we walked to the end of the pier and back before buying our cauliflower, broccoli, squash, romaine lettuce, an onion and green beans for a total of $7.75. As a bonus our local grocer also gave us baby zuccini blossoms. He suggested we cook them into a soup. Liz and I discussed it and decided to cook a nice fritatta with the blossoms.
