Jack Johnson's new CD dropped yesterday, Sleep Through the Static..I remember the first time I heard Jack, I was in Utah and "Flake" came on the radio. I was super stoked, I liked it instantly. I did an internet search and found all the info I could. Before Jack was a successful singer/songwriter he was a professional surfer. I love his music, the honesty in his lyrics and his voice is so calming..This is his fifth studio release and he holds true to his music..
He has a soul of a poet, maybe that is what draws me in and keeps me hooked. Yes I guess you could say I have a passion for Jack's music(just ask Jamie)..I have been to 5 or so concerts, he puts on such an awesome show! The audience sings along and the vibe is off the hook. If I am in need of feeling good I can listen and things just melt away..
If I Had Eyes..
"If I had eyes in the back of my head I would have told you that you looked good as I walked away. And if you could have tried to trust the hand that fed you would have never been hungry but you'd never really be more of this or less of this or is there any difference or are we just holding on to things that we don't have anymore.."
