To start off with I had the day off work..the plans in the morning were taken care of by Jamie, which was a visit to Disneyland! That night was the highly anticipated Jack Johnson concert. Jack was playing at an amphitheater, just south of us. When I found out he was coming to town I was so stoked! It's been at least three long years since I have seen Jack perform..
That morning I woke up and did a little yoga, Jamie was walking to the chiropractor and asked if I would like to join her on her stroll, sure why not it was a bright sunny day. Once we arrived back at the apt, we got ready to go to dland. Jamie said we must hurry, we need to be there at 11:45! Um, ok? I wasn't sure why we needed to be there there at a certain time..but I went along with it..

As we were driving Jamie handed me a card that said "we have a birthday reservation at the Blue Bayou at 11:50!" I said to Jamie "See I told you this was going to be the greatest day ever! Thank you!"
We arrived at dland and ran to the main gate, we made it to the restaurant with 5 minutes to spare. I ordered a drink that came with a light-up Tinkerbell clipped to the straw, she glows green, it was pretty rad. We dined on shrimp for starters and I chose the Salmon and Jamie chose the mushroom platter. The Bayou gave me a chocolate custard with whipped cream for a birthday treat. Also they gave us some gold foiled chocolate tokens. I said "oh sure I get the token with a whore on it!" Jamie's response "I believe they are called wenches, not whores.." I laughed and laughed.
Dland was not very crowded, it was great, we rode a few rides and again I schooled Jamie on the Buzz Lightyear ride, and if I'm not mistaken I do believe she tried to block my laser gun, then she said her gun wasn't working, right...
We drove to the amphitheater all the while listening to Jack cd's..just to help set the tone for the evening..
Before the show we walked around the the many booths that Jack brings with him to all his shows, it is called the All at Once community, they are there to help teach and inform about becoming more eco-conscious..
I purchased a new shirt of course and I am just waiting for the right day and place to showcase my merchandise..
The show was awesome! Jack played for two hours and when everyone screamed for an encore he came back out, just him and his guitar and he played three more songs. His melodic voice and poetic lyrics is something everyone should check out..
Thanks to Jack for all the hard work he puts into his concerts and desire to give back to communities and encourage a new way of thinking about our global impact.
Thanks most of all the Jamie, for going to the concert with me and putting up with my almost daily emails, counting down the days till the show. And for celebrating my birthday at the Blue Bayou and helping to make my 30th birthday one to truly remember..

I had a great time celebrating with you at the concert. As you know I am picture obsessed and really wish they had sent the cute picture of us from the photo booth. The one they showed on the big screen and I heard audience members go "ahhh". That's cause we are so cute!!!!
