Email-Liz

So my dad sent me an email today saying that he heard the issue of same-sex marriage will more than likely be on the ballot again in 2010 in CA, for some reason I felt compelled to write this response:

Yeah it wont surprise me if the same sex issue shows up on the ballot again in 2010. I think it's only inevitable that the courts will allow anyone to marry. The world will change and become more wicked but the gospel will forever remain true. The work of the Lord will not be frustrated. The philosophies of men will try to change the hearts of the people and urge them to let loose and give up their righteous beliefs. But those who stand strong and true in their convictions will become stronger and help to overthrow the powers of Satan. The more people realize the Lord is continually working in their behalf and wants to see them succeed the more people will accept the true gospel.
I am truly blessed that I live in a time when the true gospel has been restored. I am blessed because of the knowledge that i have, that families are forever, that when I pray the Lord listens, the Lord sends angels to help me and has a plan specifically for me. I know I will not falter in my beliefs and I am ever grateful for the strength in these trying times that I can draw upon by just simply studying the words of the Lord's chosen leaders.

Yeah I'm not sure where all that came from but I guess it's been on my mind lately.

Then my dad called me tonight telling me that when he read my email he thought he was reading a note from his dad, my grandpa Jensen. I said "Are you telling me that sound like an old man?!" He said no, take it as a compliment, your grandpa Jensen was a great man. Yes he was a great man and a strong example of what a worthy priesthood holder is and can be, just like my dad.
