I absolutely love the energy and excitement found in-between large buildings and dirty sidewalks. I have always enjoyed being a spectator, and a participant, on the streets of urban centers. Especially, I love walking on sidewalks, and hearing the subways run underneath. It's like there is a whole world that pulses and runs around me, in spite of me, and in ignorance of me. Just walking in the midst of cold shadows cast by iron buildings fills me with life and strong desires to naturally fit in. Last weekend, Liz, Lili and I walked through the Jewelry District, Pershing Square, the blue line subway, Union Station and Olivera Street (the oldest street in LA-Mexican themed).
During the adventure I refound my passion of photography. My brain and eyes truly belong behind a lens that captures line, form and shadows forever, I LOVED IT. Unfortunately, my old 1984 SLR camera has met it's demise and I'll have to move onto the new digital SLR cameras. I hope to get the Nikon D40 before my trip to Hawaii next month.
