And thus began my journey to the Gold Coast.. I was able to stay a few days with Ian. He was gracious enough to take me around the city and show me some awesome sites. The first day we went sailing! Ian helps Grant take care of his sailboat, he does the rigging and cleaning of the boat. Grant let us take the boat out into the ocean to enjoy the beautiful views. it was just the three of us. The weather was perfect! Not too hot but not too cold..
We sailed for almost 3 hours, it was great. As I made my way to the front of the boat to take in the view, a pod of dolphins joined us for a bit! The water was a gorgeous shade of blue. I know people would have paid serious money for a sail around the coast and it was given to me for free! I feel so grateful..
