I am so I Love Lucy when I work on my projects. Just like Lucille Ball I break something or loose something or step in something. For example, I was given the assignment to help my Dad and Brother paint the eve’s of the house. The chosen color was red and the paint brushes were purchased with care. In 40 degree weather I climbed on the scaffolding and scrapped the eves. I had two t-shirts, two long sleeve shirts, a beenie AND a hoodie on. Still I needed gloves to cover my fingers while reaching to the roof. As the afternoon wore on and we moved into the red painting portion of the project I climbed on a stepladder to carefully trim the wood under the eves. As my now bare fingers were shaking from cold I stepped off the ladder to refill my paint brush. Of course, just like Lucy, I stepped on the red paint can and it spilled all over the front yard rocks. ARG…. In an attempt to get the paint off my jeans, they are in the washer. In an attempt to save us all from frost bite we stopped painting for the rest of the day.
